For children ages 18 months through 6 years

Early vision screening is critical in catching vision problems in a child. Operation KidSight is a free, non-verbal, preschool age vision screening program sponsored by the Lions of Indiana, under the oversight of the Indiana Lions Eye Bank Inc. Screeners are volunteers from the local Lions Club. Screening is done with a hand-held visual screening device. The digital picture is taken from 3-4 feet away–it is a touchless procedure.

Parents can bring their children anytime between 9:30am and 12:30pm to the Library's Mayfield Rooms. Parents will fill out screening paperwork; parents and children will be called in for the screening by volunteer Lions Club staff; parents will receive copies of the results of their child's screening. Once paperwork is filled out, the process takes only a few moments.
