We are excited to announce that in collaboration with Zionsville CoderDojo we will be conducting a "Python for Beginners" coding course.
This course is intended for Middle and High School students (7th Grade and above) who are familiar with basics of coding and have some experience with some block based coding such as Scratch. Registration for the kick-off session will register you for the course--no further registration is necessary, but seats are limited.
Who can attend? - 7th Grade and above
Any pre-requisites needed? - Some experience with Scratch is recommended
When does it start? - Kick off on 14th August 2022 2PM
Zoom Classes Sundays 10 -11:30 AM AM August 21 - October 16th
When does it end? - Classes run until 16th October 2022
How long is each class? - Approximately 90 minutes, 10AM to 11.30AM on Sundays
Are the classes virtual? - Yes, all the classes on Sundays will be virtual over Zoom. Kick off and a closing ceremony combined with a Hackathon are in-person.
Do I need a laptop? - Yes, you will need a Windows based laptop with the ability to install Python
Will there be a participant certificate? - Yes, at the end of the course. There will also be a Hackathon at the end.
Do I need to enroll? - Yes, enrollment is mandatory and the seats are limited. First come first served basis.
